Abstract
This paper discusses the significance of information systems and the need for such systems in GSPLAJ in terms of educational planning and the formulation of educational policies. The paper displays the devlopment of databases and focuses on their importance in education, vocational training and scientific research, as well as in thecollection, analysis and projection of statistical data. Finaly the paper present the future prospects for educational databases.
The paper also presents the procedures carried out by the National Planning Center for Education and Vocational Training in establishing databases for educational and vocational training, experts and human resources and the scholastic map for locating schools. The paper also discusses future plans for the creation of a data bank for education and vocational training with the purpose of providing statistical data as a basis for planning and developing educational and vocational training systems both in terms of quantity and quality, as well as supporting proper educational decisions based on facts and figures

ورقة العمل هذه تظهر مدى حاجة الجماهيرية العظمى لنظم المعلومات في التخطيط وأهميتها فميا يتعلق برسم السياسات ودعم اتخاذ القرار التربوي، حيت تستعرض الورقة تطور نظم المعلومات وأهمية بناء نظام معلومات التعليم والتدريب والبحث العلمي، وكيفية جمع البيانات الإحصائية ومعالجتها واستقراء النتائج ووضع الإسقاطات مستخلصة التصور المستقبلي لنظام إدارة المعلومات التربوية.
كما تعرض الورقة الإجراءات المعتمدة بالمركز الوطني لتخطيط التعليم والتدريب في بناء منظومة بيانات التعليم والتدريب، ومنظومة الكفاءات والخبرات، ومنظومة الأطلس المدرسي لتحديد مواقع المدارس، كما تعرض الخطط المستقبلية لإنشاء مصرف بيانات التعليم والتدريب، وتهدف كلها إلى تأمين البيانات الإحصائية قاعدة لتخطيط وتطوير العملية التعليمية والتدريبية - كما وكيفا -وداعمة للقرار التربوي السليم المبني على الحقائق والأرقام.
